Rhododendron, 'PJM' Lavender
Rhodendron, PJM Lavender
Semi-dwarf rhododendron with small evergreen foliage. Small, bright, lavender pink flowers bloom heavily and reliably in early spring.
Leaves are leathery, dark green in summer turning deep mahogany purple in winter becoming green again once it loses its flowers in the spring.
Dense, compact growth with a neat mounded appearance will not get out of hand. Excellent compliment to spring bulbs. Great specimen for borders and foundations, especially under low windows.
Prefers moist, organic, cool, acidic, well-drained soil. Benefits greatly from being mulched.
Height: 3-6 ft. Spread: 3-6 ft.
