Norway Spruce is an extremely hardy evergreen.  Stiffly pyramidal when young becomes graceful with age as horizontal branches droop gracefully and produce branches that droop toward the ground in weeping fashion.

Handsome, dark green 1 inch needles with long, brown cones in the fall.

Thrives well in average soil conditions.  One of the best conifers for shelters and windbreaks, as its branches grow densely into one another.

For planting a windbreak, these trees should be planted 6 feet apart.  Cold and wind resistant.
