Dogwood, Red Twig Cornus sericea One of winter's highlights in the garden, the Red-Twig Dogwood brings a colorful accent with its gleaming, red branches. It has small clusters of creamy white flowers in late spring and summer, producing pea-sized fruit, white to bluish white in the fall. Medium to dark green leaves turn red to wine red in fall. Has rounded form with spreading upright stems with short horizontal branches. Very vigorous, adaptable and hardy. This plant normally grows as a shrub but it can be trained to grow as a small tree.
