Spiraea x bumalda 'Goldflame'

A very popular spirea noted and named for its spring foliage.  The new leaves emerge russet-orange to bronze-red, changing to soft-yellow, then to yellow-green, finally maturing to green in the summer.

Flat clusters of rosy pink flowers at branch ends bloom primarily from late spring to early summer with intermittent blooming until the fall.  This deciduous shrub is dense, upright, compact with a mounded, flat topped form.

Fall foliage is lavender-red to orange-red A very low maintenance shrub with no serious insect or disease problems.  Is attractive to butterflies.

Use in borders, foundations plantings, raised planters, and as small hedge.

Zone: 3-8 Height: 2-3 ft. Spread: 2-4 ft.

Fast growing shrub.
