Coreopsis rosea 'American Dream'

A profusion of small, daisy-like, clear pink flowers with yellow centers are carried on top of thin, fine, threadleaf-type foliage that is dark green and needle-like.  This Coreopsis also has a delicate, airy look about it.  Is a lengthy summer bloomer, blooming from June until frost.

Forms a low, rounded, dense clump.  It spreads by rhizomes and self-seeding and may be slightly invasive.  Is attractive to butterflies and is deer resistant. Prefers full sun and average to medium moisture.  Is great for accenting, filling or edging borders, foundations and walkways.

Can also be used in rock gardens, containers, hanging baskets, and naturalized areas.  Or how about as an unusual groundcover for small areas (space 12-14 inches apart).
