One of the most popular daylilies  because of its prolific blooming.  Slightly fragrant. bright yellow to golden yellow, trumpet-shaped flowers are 2-3 inches in length.  Has compact, dense, clumping habit of grassy-green strap-like foliage.

Peak blooming period is late spring and early summer, is sporadic during the heat of summer, and then comes back with a heavier bloom period in the fall.  Individual flowers last one day.

Attracts butterflies and hummingbirds. Adaptable to most soils except water-logged heavy soil.  Tolerates a wide range of conditions including drought, air-pollution, poor and dry soils and winter salt.  Deadhead flowers to increase blooming.
