Salvia, Maynight Salvia nemorosa 'Maynight' One of the most commonly used Salvias in the Northeast U.S. Has a compact, upright, open mounding habit. Freshly aromatic foliage is gray-green with a lance-shape leaf about 3 inches long. The plant is covered in dense spikes of dark violet-blue flowers from June through September. Remains upright and tidy through the season. A vigorous grower, it attracts butterflies, bees and hummingbirds. Is deer resistant. Excellent for borders, edging, containers, perennial and rock gardens. Prefers full sun. Prefers well-drained, evenly moist soil, but will tolerate from dry to medium moisture.
