Often acclaimed the most beautiful of evergreens. Large, upright, pyramidal shape.  Limbs spread horizontally and cascade down with lacy, graceful, fine-textured growth. Short, soft, light yellow-green needles in the spring change to glossy, dark green in summer.

Can be pruned to maintain height.  Likes moist, well drained soil.  Will not do well in hot, dry or windy areas.

Good for either formal or informal hedge, space at least 3 to 6 feet apart.  Tolerates shade very well.
