Spiraea nipponica 'Snowmound'

A very showy flowering shrub.  Is considered a superior replacement for Vanhoutte because it has a neater, denser outline.

Masses of small white flower clusters in late May to early June cover the whole length of arching stems.  Dark blue green leaves turn shades of green, chartreuse, yellow, orange and red in fall.

Has an upright, vase-shaped growth habit while young becoming rounded and arching with age.  Attracts butterflies and has no serious insect or disease problems.

Is great as a specimen or accent in borders, foundation plantings and entranceways.  Can also be used as hedge or in masses.  Best in full sun.
