Extremely popular flowering pear tree.  Profuse and very showy clusters of pure white flowers bloom in spring usually before the leaves appear.

Teardrop shaped in youth, in maturity forms a dense, oval form with upright branches.  Lustrous, dark green foliage flutters in the summer breeze.  Very attractive fall foliage ranges in colors form gold-orange to red to purplish red.  Small red-brown fruits are attractive to birds.

Easy to maintain.  Tolerates most soil types.

Used in a variety of settings from specimen tree, above ground planters, residential street tree, office and industrial parks.  Good in restricted root areas.
